The extension does one thing: it captures the audio of the currently active browser tab, sends that audio to the Service's server for speech recognition and translation, and displays the result — Chinese characters, pinyin and Russian translation — on top of the page you are watching.

It is built for learners of Chinese who want to understand real speech: videos, films, podcasts and online lessons.

The extension is optional and is not required to use the Service. It works only for a signed-in user: without an active account on the Service, no audio can be processed.

• Audio of the active tab — recorded only after you explicitly press the “Record” button, for up to 90 seconds. It is sent to the Service's server for recognition and translation.
• A technical extension identifier — used to connect the extension to the page of the Service that performs the recognition.
• The result of the analysis — characters, pinyin and translation, shown to you and kept in your listening history on the Service.
• Your settings — the selected card layout and the address of the Service the extension is connected to. These are stored in the browser only.

The extension works only together with your account on the Service, so the Service holds the following account data:

• your name and e-mail address;
• your password — stored only as a bcrypt hash. The password itself is never stored and is unknown even to the operator of the Service;
• a session token that keeps you signed in (valid for 30 days, or until you sign out);
• your learning progress, listening history and the results of the analysis.

This data is described in full in sections 5, 6 and 9 of the main Privacy Policy. The extension itself never sees your password and has no access to the session cookie: the requests to the Service are made by the Service's own page, not by the extension.

Audio is processed within a single request. The Service does not store the audio recording and does not link it to your account. Only the resulting text (characters, pinyin, translation) is kept, in your listening history.

The extension does not use your data for advertising, profiling or any purpose unrelated to showing you the analysis you asked for.

Speech recognition and translation are performed by the Service's server, which forwards the audio to external interfaces (APIs) operated by Groq, Inc. and xAI Corp. (United States). This transfer is described in detail in the “Cross-border transfer” section of the main Privacy Policy.

No other third parties receive data from the extension. The extension itself contains no analytics, no tracking and no advertising code.

• It does not use the microphone. Only tab audio is recorded — the sound that is already playing through your speakers. The extension never listens to you.
• It does not read the content of pages you open. It does not read text, forms or files on websites.
• It has no access to cookies — neither those of the Service nor those of other sites.
• It does not collect your browsing history and does not track which sites you visit.
• It does not show advertising and does not sell or transfer data to data brokers.
• It writes nothing into web pages. In the browser it stores only its own settings.

Recording starts only on an explicit press of the “Record” button; at that moment the browser itself shows its own screen-capture indicator.

Data handled by the extension is not sold and is not transferred to third parties, except for the recognition and translation processors named above and the cases expressly provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Audio is not retained: it is processed within a single request. The analysis results remain in your listening history for as long as your account exists, and are deleted together with the account.

You can remove the extension at any time through the browser (chrome://extensions). Removing the extension stops any further processing; deleting your account on the Service deletes the associated data.

Tab audio can contain the voices of third parties — for example, participants of a video call. By recording such a tab, you confirm that you have the right to make that recording. Do not record other people's conversations without the consent of their participants.

The legal basis for processing is the consent of the data subject (Article 6(1)(1) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”), expressed by installing and using the extension while holding an active account on the Service.
